EUnetHTA Joint Action 3 is organized into three horizontal work packages (WP1-3), and four core work packages (WP4-7). The horizontal work packages will coordinate the Joint Assessment, disseminate its results and evaluate the main objective of this Joint Assessment. The core work packages will deliver products needed for a sustainable HTA network like quality joint assessments, evidence generation, quality management and focus on implementation of this model on national, regional and local levels.
Building a sustainable network on Health Technology Assessment in Europe. Between 2016 and 2020, 79 organisations will work on a sustainable network to further HTA collaboration. Joint Action 3 aims to define and implement a sustainable model for the scientific and technical cooperation on Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in Europe. The voluntary cooperation within and between national and regional HTA Bodies is essential in this joint action.
The EUnetHTA JA2 Plenary Assembly approved the EUnetHTA JA2 Final Technical Report to be submitted to CHAFEA (Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency)
One of the EUnetHTA JA2 specific objectives was “to test the capacity of the national HTA bodies to jointly produce structured core HTA information and to apply it in national context”
The EUnetHTA JA 2 activities addressed all relevant phases of the Life Cycle of health technology development including the pre-licensing phase (in early scientific advice (Early Dialogues) and market entry through the early assessments of the evidence in rapid REAs and additional data and evidence collection
