After a successful completion of the project phase (2006-2008), the EUnetHTA Collaboration partnership of 25 organisations are now joining forces with other partners in Member States and the Commission to implement the results of the EUnetHTA project and the Pharmaceutical Forum through a Joint Action on HTA.
Twenty of the EUnetHTA partner organisations from 16 Member States, Norway and Switzerland were nominated by their respective Ministry/Department of Health to participate in the Joint Action and attended the first preparatory meeting on February 20, 2009 in Brussels.
The scope of the Joint Action, stakeholder involvement and outcomes of the activities were among the topics of the first round of discussions in Brussels.

During the meeting, Denmark (represented by the National Board of Health) received support from all participants to act as the Joint Action coordinator and accepted to take on this responsibility. The secretariat of the EUnetHTA Collaboration that is placed at the National Board of Health of Denmark has taken on the task to coordinate the Joint Action on HTA.
