We are pleased to announce that the final assessment report for OTCA20 ‘Prophylactic or therapeutic use of endoanchoring systems in endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR/TEVAR)’, together with the fact check comments from manufacturers and comments from external experts including the replies of the author, are now available for access.
The health technology assessed is a helical-shaped intravascular-applied implant that acts as an anchoring system in addition to the standard endoprostheses used in endovascular aortic repair in thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms. The objective of this assessment was to evaluate whether the device in addition to the standard endoprostheses used in endovascular aortic repair in patients with aortic aneurysm (abdominal, thoracic) is more effective and/or safer than procedures without the anchoring system.
